Hard to believe we’re already into the ninth year of the decade. Guess it’s time to look back at the best of the best from the last nine years. Sure, taking home the honors as Best Picture from the Academy Awards is certainly a momentous honor, but some may argue that the winner wasn’t necessarily their favorite movie. Here are the Best Picture winners from the decade thus far (with one presumptive winner) and a selection from the same year that we feel may just be a more timeless classic. In some instances, one’s favorite movie may not be the best movie, but one you’ll certainly sit down to time and time again to view over the winner. However, in some years, the winner is the clear cut best, with the other just playing the role of number one contender, with no chance to take down the champ. Let’s hear your thoughts…
