A Well Deserved Honor…

I felt compelled to write this after seeing that my best friend’s cousin is up for Best Original Screenplay for the film ‘Normal’ at the 29th Annual Genie Awards in Ottawa this weekend. Sure, these aren’t the Oscars, but certainly a great honor, recognizing the best of Canadian cinema by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. The film is also nominated for Best Picture, Achievement in Direction, along with Actor in a Supporting Role. Trust me when I tell you, this guy deserves it. If you knew what he has been through to get where he is today, it would certainly give us all inspiration to follow our dreams and passion. Good luck, Travis!
